A striking pair of genuine swordfish rostrums (bills), professionally prepared and mounted on custom display pedestals. These elongated natural forms create a bold sculptural statement, whether displayed together as a pair or separately within a cabinet of curiosities or interior setting.
The rostrums show natural variation in tone and surface texture, ranging from warm honeyed hues to paler ivory shades. As with all authentic marine specimens, minor surface cracks and fissures are present and have been stabilised with off-white epoxy, preserving the integrity of the material while maintaining a natural appearance.
Swordfish rostrums were historically used in certain cultures for tool and weapon making, and today are highly sought after as decorative natural history objects. This pair offers strong visual impact due to their size, clean presentation, and matched display format.
Mounted and display-ready.
Sold as a pair.
